Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic critical care surgeon to be part of our team at Florida Hospital. You would work in conjunction with a superb faculty in our general surgery residency program, as well as an amazing team of critical care/anesthesiologists for ICU coverage. An academic role is also central to our need where you can help to develop a critical care fellowship. This is an employment opportunity which would involve a setting with a high amount of acute-care, broad-based emergency surgery (non Level 1 trauma).

This opportunity would be based at Florida Hospital Orlando, a large 1100+ bed facility located just north of downtown Orlando. The hospital is home to our general surgery residency, internal medicine residency, as well as 150+ ICU beds.

As part of the Adventist Health System, Florida Hospital is a non-profit, faith-based organization which operates eight campuses under one license in Central Florida. We encompass over 2,200 beds and 2,200 physicians on our medical staff. Over 17,000 employees serve over 110,000 inpatients, 500,000 outpatients, and 375,000 emergency patients annually. Florida Hospital also operates 14 other hospitals in the state.

To learn more about this opportunity, please call Jason Junker, Director of Physician Recruitment, directly at 407-200-2538 or send your CV to Jason.Junker@flhosp.org.

Requirements for this position include fellowship training in critical care, completion of an ACGME approved general surgery residency, and board certification (or eligibility) through the ABMS in Surgery and Critical Care.
